I think its simply about a guy who is comming to terms with the fact that his girlfriend is cheating on him.

'Comming outta my cage and ive been doing just fine, gotta gotta be down because I want it all' - I think this means that the rltp was going well and that he was feeling really good about himself for once. Now he's suddenly depressed and anxious because he realises how much he loves this girl and that he might be losing her!

Hes going to bed on his own wondering why his girlfriend hasnt come home. She's already confessed that she kissed someone else, but while she claims 'it was only a kiss, it was only a kiss' he's beginning to realise that there must be something more serious is going on.

He realises that the hurt he feels now will just make him stronger, he just needs to move on, look to the future and things will work out for him in the end.
